Spring season update:

From Sectionals at the beginning of March through the CIF High School state meet this past weekend in May, our senior swimmers have been working diligently to make their seasons a success. And wow, did they ever make this year a great one so far!

Our team kicked off the big meet season with a strong 3rd place showing behind only Crow and La Mirada and ahead of Santa Clara. We topped off a great weekend with a win in the last relay of the meet! In fact that 15-16 boys relay is currently still the second fastest in the country.

Some of our High School swimmers went to the Pro-series meet in San Antonio where they competed against some of the best in the world, they even got to swim with French phenom Leon Marchand among others! They had a great time, learned a lot, and came back ready to finish the High School swim season on a high note.

High School Leagues saw the Rise of G3 & G4. Our G3 and G4 swimmers had fantastic league meets and showed the strength of those groups with several league finalists, CCS qualifiers, and even some league champions!

CCS was G5’s time to shine with G4 adding even more excellent swims throughout the meet. Our girls had finalists in every event with a stirring victory in the 500 free at CCS, while our boys took up half the sprint freestyle finals spots and finished the meet with a 1,2,4 (.03 away from 3rd) 100 Breaststroke event. All of our G5 swimmers made an impact at CCS in individual events and incredible relay swims where they showed great teamwork rain or shine. QSS swimmers were some of the few who managed to handle the crazy weather conditions at CCS finals to continue to post best times. The day after meet saw some incredible swims as our exhausted swimmers put their goals forward to finish the job in some of the events they couldn’t do in the limited HS format. Congratulations on a fantastic season to all our QSS high schoolers who put in the work to make this season one to remember!

Finally the 5/10-5/11 State meet brought an excellent HS season to an end as the best of the best gathered in Clovis, in weather almost 40 degrees warmer than CCS finals, to see who could rise above all in the third straight weekend of HS championship racing. I would like to give a shout out to all of our State meet competitors (who have already thrown down some excellent practices to kick off the Long Course season!!!) Please let me know if I missed anyone, because you are all awesome!
